Angel sounding the trumpetM2M shares a blessing and ministry update from our friends at Time to Revive.

Sound the Alarm

It was our first day of prayer for reviveTWIN CITIES.  We were meeting in Hosanna’s prayer chapel.  The fountain was running.  The piano was playing.  We were singing.  We were praying.  We were sharing the Word of God.   Everything was sweet.  The  Spirit of God was beginning to stir in our presence.

And then something happened that one couldn’t have ben planned if you tried.  The fire alarm went off in the prayer chapel.  The lights were flashing.  The alarm was sounding.  So immediately the folks began to exit the chapel.

As half of us had already left the room, the alarm stopped.  We were able to go back into the chapel. My mind was racing with all kinds of thoughts.  What was the Lord saying to us in this time?  Was satan trying to interrupt us from talking to the Lord in corporate prayer?

We went back to sharing and praying with one another.  And then what do you know?  It happened again.  The alarm went off.  But this time, we were informed it was a test. We didn’t have to leave.  We could continue to pray.  We could continue to press in crying out for revival.

But every 10-15 minutes or so, the alarm would go off.  Here we were, 7:00 in the morning, and the alarm was sounding.  And instead of finding it annoying, our group began to identify with what was happening.  The Lord was sounding the alarm as His people gathered together.

Someone in the group sent me a Bible verse via text that truly painted a picture for what was taking place.  Joel 2:1 says, “Blow a trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm on My holy mountain!  Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble, for the day of the Lord is coming; surely it is near…”

Yeah, the fire company had come in the morning to test the fire alarms.  In fact, a local pastor who was coming to the prayer time saw the fire guys right before the prayer time.  He asked them, “Are you coming to pray for revival?”  They said, “No.  They were coming to test the alarms.”

I had to laugh when I heard this.  I had to smile on the inside.  Why?  Because the Lord saw that His people were beginning to gather in a time of corporate prayer…the Lord saw His body of Christ were gathering to cry out for revival…and the alarm was begin to sound.

And by the end of our morning prayer time, the body of Christ was beginning to understand…God was clearly confirming to us what was happening.  His people, whether they were from Minnesota, Indiana, Texas, Ohio, Arizona, North Dakota, Washington, Wisconsin, California, North Carolina, or Michigan) were getting ready for revival in the Twin Cities.  So sound the alarm!

Please don’t hesitate to join us this week.  Prayer time is taking place at 7:00 am,NOON, and 7:00 pm.

We don’t know when the Lord is coming back, but we need to be ready for His return.  So please join us as we cry out to Him for the next 6 days.   All for His glory.
